Branbis is the second iteration of Scott Bissessar’s people-powered consulting and advisory service. It is the combination of the first syllable of Scott’s parent’s family names. Branbis began as, and continues to deliver, a unique combination of business savvy and understanding of human dynamics to enable clients to reach sustainably higher outcomes in the context of doing work.
With a deep background in investment banking, technology and organization behavior, Scott discovered the value of bringing a rigorous understanding of business strategy together with skills in addressing cultural dynamics to bring key stakeholders together to create solutions with the required degree of buy-in to succeed. Which is of course analogous to the “culture eats strategy for breakfast” saying. Yet to this day, very few consultants and advisors bring this combination of capabilities - to the detriment of many implementation efforts.
With over 20+ years helping top 6 strategy consulting firms and Fortune 50 clients improve their strategy implementation delivery capabilities, Scott brings a delivery mindset balanced with an inclusive approach to create winning implementation strategies in a wide range of organizations.
Today Branbis clients include top names in oil and gas, financial services, pharmaceuticals, high technology sectors and range from F10 to successful start-ups and not-for-profit organizations. Branbis client teams work closely with senior executive teams to create meaningful, actionable strategies that succeed by creating rigor and alignment around the deliverables with pin-point insights into the dynamics of collaboration and conflict that enable teams to unlock potential and reach higher levels of performance that can also be sustained.
Scott is an executive with global leadership experience. Born in Montreal Canada, he is also a Swiss National. Scott founded ChangeVU, a leading provider of data analytics and risk-based Change services for organizations (www.changevu.com). He is also a board director on several private and not-for-profit companies in Canada and Europe.
Scott has an MBA from IMD (Lausanne), an MA in Organization Behavior from The Tavistock Institute in London UK, and a BA (Hon) from Queen’s. He also holds board certification from Harvard, and has multiple international certifications in professional behavioral consulting and coaching. He was a 2-time Academic all-Canadian (Queen’s) is in the Queen’s Football Hall of Fame, and played 1 season in the CFL and was a Canadian top 10 ranked 400m sprinter. He speaks 3 languages fluently and still enjoys playing hockey and relaxing by exploring his love of music. Branbis office locations are Geneva, The Hague and Toronto.
